where he has performed on stage at The Chocolate Factory, Playwright’s Horizon, Joyce Soho, IRT and Columbia University.  As a filmmaker, Baron wrote and directed two short films, both of which are in post production.  In 2010 Gabriel was artist in residence at IRT in Manhattan with his two-man performance duo, Underbelly, where he co-created and performed the non-verbal physical comedy piece, Dwellicle 109.  Before living in New York, Gabriel was a regular theater artist on Seattle stages, working as actor, director, writer and dancer.  Having co-founded the Seattle theater company, Collaborator, in 2001, he directed their debut original theater piece, Extropia, which was one of Seattle Weekly’s “Best Plays of 2003”.   On stage, Gabriel originated roles in the world premieres of The Never Ending Story and Steven Dietz’s Honus and Me at Seattle Children's Theater and in Amy Freed’s Restoration Comedy at Seattle Repertory Theater.  He also directed A Very Reggie X-mas at On the Boards and Accidental Death of an Anarchist with Strawberry Theater Workshop which won “Best of Fringe” from The Seattle Times.  Gabriel received the 2005 "Genius Award” for Theater from Seattle's Village Voice-affiliate paper, The Stranger, and several "Footlight Awards" from The Seattle Times.  He studied clown with Cirque du Soleil’s Julien Cottereu and with Lecoq School co-founder, Pierre Byland in Switzerland and holds a B.F.A. Acting and Original Works from Cornish College of the Arts.
